our legacy
Walt’s Cloud is deeply inspired by the legacy of Dr. Walter S.E. Hardy, a renowned African-American physician in Knoxville, Tennessee. Dr. Hardy dedicated his life to both medicine and community leadership. His wife, Edna Cloud Hardy, an educator of Afro-Indigenous descent, shared his passion for service. As a county commissioner and medical board member, Dr. Hardy’s influence reached far beyond medicine, and his recognition as Omega Psi Phi’s NATIONAL Man of the Year continues to inspire our commitment to leadership and empowerment.
